Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is an evidence based practice in which highly trained professionals assess and treat people with varying mobility issues, injuries and diseases. Treatment techniques commonly used include education, pain management, exercise prescription, manual therapy, taping, electrotherapy and dry needling

Registered Massage

Massage is part of integrative medicine and studies have found massage can help reduce stress, lessen pain and muscle tightness, increase relaxation and improve the work of the immune system. In massage, a practitioner rubs and kneads the soft tissues of your body to a pressure that is likeable by you.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture stimulates the balance and flow of Qi energy that in Traditional Chinese Medicine is considered essential to health. Practitioners stimulate specific points on the body—most often by inserting thin needles through the skin. Ludmilla provides individualized acupuncture and integrated health services including cupping, massage, energy work, yoga, education and laser.

Pelvic Health Physiotherapy

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a specific type of physiotherapy involving internal and external assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles. Those muscles are located between the hip bones and the sacrum, and they serve as a bowl to support the pelvic organs including the bladder, colon and uterus.

Clinical Pilates

Pilates is aimed at restoring the natural curvatures of the spine and rebalancing the muscles surrounding the joints. Clinical pilates is used by health professionals for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and injury prevention.

Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is a specialized form of therapy intended to alleviate problems caused by vestibular disorders, primarily vertigo and dizziness, gaze instability, and/or imbalance and falls. Treatment of symptoms following a concussion will also fall under this type of therapy.

TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders)

Assessment and treatment of signs or symptoms associated with disorders involving the Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ). Common symptoms associated with TMD (but not limited to) include jaw pain, neck pain, headaches and tinnitus.
